What could be greater than to feel God’s love and influence in our lives? How sad, how wasted the life of the person who believes that this world and this life are all we have. What a waste to die without knowing God, or the power of God.

Hello God, How are you? I thank you for allowing me another chance to come to you and share my heart. You are all knowing and there is nothing i can hide from you. God, my prayer this evening is for my wife. i need you to speak to her heart. God she often feels as if maybe you are toying with our emotions and our hearts. deep down she loves you, but sometime the pressure of life is a little more than she can handle. God please speak to my wife. she is a great woman, and really wants to be close to you. we need you God. We need you today.

An Oakland Raiders cornerback claims he was penalized on Sunday for making a religious display while celebrating an interception.

After picking off a Matt Schaub(notes) pass in the end zone, Oakland Raiders cornerback Chris Johnson celebrated by dropping to his knees and raising his arms in triumph. He was instantly flagged for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for excessive celebration. (more…)

ap_mark_driscoll_090930_mnIn America these days, idols are everywhere. Music idols like Britney and Madonna. Sports idols like Jeter or Manning. Fashion idols like Gucci, Armani or Prada. We even have television shows to make our own “American Idol.”

It’s as if there is a need, a hunger in America to idolize.

But wait a minute. Isn’t that just pop culture? Modern life? Isn’t the second commandment about worshipping the golden calf and graven images?
